Black Pulp presents Meeting Of The Mindz - March 30th at Amalgam Comics & Cofeehouse

****SPECIAL EVENT ****

On March 30, 2016Blak Pulp, an independently funded and published local comic book company, will launch their long awaited first edition anthology issue at Amalgam Comics & Coffeehouse in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. The event is focused on networking and features CEO's of local companies such as Rick Watson of World Renowned Entertainment and Diva Bleu of Bleu Media, LLC, as well as performances by Wissahickon Dance Academy and others, and food catered by Amuse Bouche' Cuisine.

Blak Pulp is a comic book brand collective, focusing on showcasing the artists of Philadelphia and surrounding areas, giving them a space to spotlight their vision, to gain new fans, and the ability to promote themselves to lovers of both compelling stories and inspired visuals. The company is black owned and operated.

Amalgam comics, owned by Ariell R. Johnson, is the first Black woman owned comic book shop to open on the east coast and has garnered much buzz since the doors opened in winter of 2016. Highlighting diversity in a space usually reserved for the big 3 companies, and a homogenous view of what comic book heroes can be, this is the perfect venue to debut Blak Pulp.
